Background

Building on asset-building accounts for low-income workers that began in 2010, the ministry launched this youth-focused version in 2022 to help working young people build savings while staying employed.

Eligibility and conditions

The program generally targets people aged 15–39 with earned income above a monthly minimum and household income below a set share of the national median. The government adds ₩100,000–300,000 a month to the saver's ₩100,000. To receive the match at maturity, savers must keep working and complete financial-education requirements. Check overlap rules with other products such as the Youth Leap Account.
