Overview
WHO’s ICD-11 lists gaming disorder (6C51): impaired control, increasing priority over other activities, and continuation despite negative consequences, with significant impairment usually over 12 months. DSM-5-TR lists internet gaming disorder only as a condition for further study, and Korea is still debating its adoption in the national classification. Long play alone is not a disorder.
