什么是暗黑模式
格雷等（2018）将其分为纠缠、阻挠、偷偷摸摸、界面干扰和强制行为五类。“不，我不喜欢省钱”式的确认羞辱、进来容易出去难的“蟑螂旅馆”都很典型。它和助推相似，却是朝着不利于用户的方向使用。
有多普遍、多有效
马图尔等（2019）在约1.1万家购物网站发现1818个实例，迪杰罗尼莫等（2020）在240款热门应用中有95%发现暗黑模式。卢古里与斯特拉希列维茨（2021）发现，即使温和的暗黑模式也让付费订阅率翻倍以上。
同意界面、监管与替代方案
努文斯等（2020）表明从Cookie弹窗首屏去掉“拒绝”就会大幅提高同意率，乌茨等（2019）证实了默认选项的作用。监管日益加强，成为消费者保护法的议题。替代方案是取消与注册一样简单、按钮同样大小。
